Meet Nikki Lopez, M.S., CCC-SLP & Founder of Totally Heard Speech Therapy

Hi, I’m Nikki! I’m a pediatric speech-language pathologist with over 20 years of experience supporting children and families. I have worked in several states in a variety of settings. My approach is rooted in total communication, using speech, signs, visuals, AAC, and connection to help each child thrive. I am fluent in sign language. I also have experience with mild to severe behavioral difficulty.

I grew up in a Deaf household, interpreting for my parents from a young age. That experience shaped how I see communication; not just as talking, but as the way we connect. I now bring that perspective to every session, helping families build trust, understanding, and joyful communication.

I specialize in Autism, early language development, sign language, augmentative communication, and hearing-impaired support. Therapy with me is always child-centered, play-based, sensory-integrated, functional, and focused on what matters the most to each family.
